Term 4 Goals and Expectations

This term is going to be a MASSIVE term filled with loads of events and fun.
This is your chance to set some goals for what you want to achieve this term.

This term we had three holidays and now it is over and we are ready to start term 4. This term our topic is called Te WA Toi. This means it is time for art.
This term I am excited for school because I get to play with my friends and get to do some work. My goals are to get better at stuff like reading and my other goal is to be kind on another.I would hope to learn about  lots of new things.

Marshmallow Challenge

Have you ever had a marshmallow challenge? Well Room 8 Literacy has.
Today Room 8 literacy did a marshmallow challenge we had lots of fun.

Miss Parrant told all of room 8 students to go and sit on the blue screen.
After that she was organizing the stuff.  Then she came and said
you have 18 minutes to do the marshmallow challenge.
She also said if you eat the marshmallow you will get disqualified.
Miss Parrant told us to go and find a table and start.

The next thing we did was that we put all the spaghetti and we poked it on the marshmallow.
We got the string and tied  it up on the spaghetti.
Then we we got the sellotape and wrap it on the bottom.

After that we Miss Parant said that we had 30 seconds left and my teammates were in  a big hurry.
My teammates Actually made a tower.

Me and my teammates were very happy because we won. Me and my teammates were really happy with our tower.

Reading Poems

My harmonica work

We made a harmonica and we made it with popsicle sticks and lots of rubber band. Also we had to make lots of noise. 

Going to the creek.

Now that you have made a plan, it is time to write your recount in full sentence. On Monday the 15th of February we  were walking to creek. When we got there there were rubbish and duck and more rubbish and it was stinking and smelling. The color for the water is black. We walked to creek and then we stand up and to see what was in the water.After that we sat down and we had to listen to the teacher. We lined up with Mrs Buchanan and Mrs Buchanan took a photo of us with her phone. Later on

We lined up with Mrs Buchanan. Also Mrs Buchanan took a photo of us with her phone.

After when Mrs Buchanan took a photo of us we started to line up to came back to our class  and then we went on our Chromebook and we started to write about it. We  were walking to class and we came to our class and then we came to sat down again and we had to listen to Mrs buchanan. When Mrs Buchanan  finished talking she told us to get our chrome book and start our writing.

My pump house story.

On Monday reading support we had a trip but first we had to go to reading support first. When we finished reading support we had to go and it our morning tea first and then when morning tea finished all of the reading support had to go to the breeze and  wait for miss Clark. When miss Clark came she told us to came with her to sit down  at the breeze and then some teachers came to talk about something and then we had to go on the bus but we had to go in rows to the bus. When we all on the bus we were off to the pump house theater. By the time we got there we had to look for a place where we can eat  and there were others school there. After when we finished eating we went to go watch  the theater and there were 3  Pirates  and a little boy called Olivia and one dad and one mum. At the end When the theater was finished we had to stand up and we had to dance. When the dance was over we had to go outside and we went to go hi five there hands. When we done high-fiving them we had to go on the bus and one of the reading support  tutor gave all of the reading support a gift. Then we came to school and we had to sit down at the breeze again and then we had to go class. When we got to our class we had to do our work and then the bell ring and we had to get our bags and then we had to say good afternoon to our teacher.The End

My Year 5 Mihi

A story about a bird.

Once upon a time the big  brown bird was flapping his wings to find some food for his family. Suddenly the big bird heard a sound because he was standing on the cliff and the big bird flapped his wings so he didn't fall on the ground. After when he got up the big bird went to go and sit on a rock and his stomach made a noise and he didn’t find any food  so he went in the the sea and he saw a fish and he ate some of the fish . The big bird  was so bored and he went home to see his mum and his dad. The next day the big bird woke up and he  rushed down to the kitchen to see if there was some food and then he look at the fridge and there were inset but it was died and there was bread and there was some water and he found some fish he ate all of it and mum and dad woke up and they look in the fridge  and they didn't see any food so big bird hide the fish and mum and dad said to big bird did you eat the fish said mum and dad big bird said nope i haven't seen them . There house  was made of rocks and some leafs and also some paper.

Year 5/6 Camp

On Wednesday the 8th of February. We were doing it at school because What camp mean it is like a true adventure but you have to get your  tent ready so you can sleep in it. What I watched was the movie Storks at camp.

My best highlight is about mine is the Dessert  and I like free time . Why I  choose free time and dessert. I chose desserts  because  we had ice cream and Peaches and Sprinklers. Also i chose free time because we can play on the little tramp and the roller blades, basketball, scooters, skateboards.

I  struggled because I thought that I was sleeping at my house. Also I struggled  sleeping in the tent because it was quite small.
